Nov 30, 2009 sine @ bedroom part 2. Session made with a digital pro mixer called behringer ddm4000 and traktor. Settings Below: -Laptop -Behringer DDM4000 + headphones -numark dj-io (external soundcard) -midi.
Hi,
Apologies if this has been posted before but I’m new to the board and can’t see anything similar.
I’m having some trouble linking up my Behringer DDM4000 with Traktor 3 and was wondering if anyone can help me?
I have two CDJ-400’s which seem to integrate perfectly with Tracktor but I can’t figure out where I’m going wrong with the mixer!
I have it connected with the MIDI to USB cable (out to in etc), have loaded a preset TSI, and activated the MIDI controls on both Traktor and the DDM (I think). But it’s still as if the program isn’t registering anything.
This sound familiar to anyone?
Would really appreciate any help!

In Traktor, have you chosen DDM4000 soundcard?
Also in your computer (Mac or PC?) have you chosen DDM4000 as soundcard.
If PC do you have the right ASIO driver installed?
Do you have the laterst upgrades installed in all of your Hard and soft – ware??
And are you sure that it is Traktor 3? It should be Traktor 2??That is a few things to check.

I think it is a MIDI mapping issue, I could not find any mapping for DDM4000 and Traktor 2
You might use a mapping for Traktor 1??
Linux traktor pro. Is that the case then you have to check the mapping and try to find a mapping for T2 or make your own mapping….But first. Have you read and done as it stands in the Traktor 2 getting started PDF that comes with Traktor??

Yes the .tsi is the mappingfile.

Crossfader cut in is a little more the 1 mm which is good for basic beat juggling and scratching. The sampler is awesome as well as the effects. Currently using vinyl and DVS with Traktor Scratch Pro and a X1.

But once in MIDI mode it's not a mixer anymore, no Audio will go in or out of the mixer, making it functionally useless. Serato doesnt have any internal mixer function. So somehting like VDJ or Traktor will work with it because you are midi mapping the the 4000 to the internal mixer. Great table for the price
The table is great. So many features: even more than most of professional tables. You can feel the quality of knobs/fader is obviously not as good as Pioneer or A&H but it is 4 times cheaper. The position of the headphone plug is a bit odd but actually doesn't matter. I use Native Instruments Audio 10 as an external soundcard, so the sound quality is perfect. Probably best quality/price ratio you can find. I would advise this mixer for anyone who wants similar features than professional mixers at a reasonable price.

Ddm4000 Traktor Pro 2 Mapping For Virtual Dj
This mixer is a great tool for beginner to intermediate dj. Build quality is crap though the faders are to light no resistance. I love the mapping capabilities. I mapped all the faders and nobs all except the gains fx center and the cueing based buttons. I'm saving up for a set of cdj 700 by gemini and in the mean time I mapped two decks and was able to map pitch faders and use touch osc for cue points and splitter cable to dj In the mean time awesome controller. Not audio interface or usb but still save a ton of money for the amount of functions
